Balcon del Mar is situated at the Costa del Silencio bathing resort.

With many sports facilities, to name a few, golf, minigolf, tennis, fitness and water sports among which diving. Water scooters are to let and there are numerous possibilities for an evening out.

A large part of space is taken up by the TenBel complex, accessible by all, with it's sub-tropical gardens and mini children's adventure park.

There are several shopping mall complexes in Costa del Silencio, some of which include car free galleries which are partly below street level.

There are banks, currency changers, cash distributors, phone booths, doctor practices and a pharmacy.

Moreover, there is a good public transport net and there are numerous taxis.

A solid mile away there is Las Galettas with it's beach (with facilities), a fishing harbor and a promenade with bars and restaurants. There is also a post office. From the harbour, excursions are organized for dolphin and whale spotting.
